A first bracelet for David Olson and David Miscikowski - WSOP 2014
Two bracelets were distributed last weekend at Rio in Las Vegas during the 45th World Series of Poker (WSOP). David Olson won the $ 10,000 Limit Hold'em (Event # 49) while David Miscikowski triumphed during the $ 5,000 No-Limit Hold'em (Event # 52). 112 players took the start of the Event # 49 on last Wednesday but after three days of competition in the poker room of Amazon, David Olson won the tournament and won the first WSOP bracelet of his career. The 27-year American pocketed $ 303,909 from the prize pool of $ 1,146,800. David Olson triumphed after a heads-up with Mikhail Tulchinskiy who settled with $ 187,811 for his second place. The final table was also composed of Greg DeBora (3rd, $ 136,056), Sam Golbuff (4th, $ 100,425), Paul Mannoni (5th, $ 75,470), Bill Chen (6th, $ 57,706), Brian Tate (7th, $ 44,874), Jan Sjåvik (8th, $ 35,481) and Gabriel Nassif (9th, $ 28,509).
The $ 5,000 No-Limit Hold'em, Event # 52 of the WSOP was won by David Miscikowski in front of 695 other players. This field generated a prizepool of $ 3,271,000 including $ 719,707 for this young man of 28 years. At the end of this poker tournament, Miscikowski also won his first bracelet after winning in a final table of nine players. Blake Bohn was the first player eliminated from the final for $ 54,792 of gain, followed by John Dolan (8th, $ 70,265), Jean Gaspard (7th, $ 91,037), Kevin MacPhee (6th, $ 119,267), Oliver Price (5th, $ 158,064) Margareta Morris (4th, $ 212,202) and Manig Loeser (3rd, $ 288,912). David Miscikowski began the heads-up with a chip lead of 4 to 1 face to Norbert Szecsi, an advantage he held until the end. Szecsi cashed $ 444,425 for his second place.
