Brandon Shack-Harris secures chipleader in the $ 50,000 Poker Players Championships final table - WSOP 2014
The $ 50,000 Poker Players Championship event finally reached its final table after four days of battle in Amazon poker room of Rio All-Suite, Las Vegas. It has attracted 102 participants, but the field was brought down to 22 players at the end of the penultimate day of this Event # 46. Notable players like Vladimir Shchemelev, Ola Amundsgard, David Oppenheim, David Steicke, Gary Benson, Jason Mercier and Brock Parker were prematurely eliminated and left the final table for 8 players. Brandon Shack-Harris takes the final table lead with 4.1 million of chips. He has a great chance to overshadow George Danzer for this WSOP Player Of the Year title regarding his good performance this summer.
After his $ 1,000 Pot Limit Omaha win, a poker tournament which provided him a prize of $ 205,634 and his first bracelet, Shack-Harris finished second in the $ 10,000 Razz Event for $ 182,155. Last week, he won $ 78,335 for his third place in the $ 1,500 Limit HoldEm Event. In this ongoing event, Abe Mosseri secures the second position in terms of chipcount with 2,507,000 chips. John Hennigan occupies the fourth place with 1,878,000 chips; he is followed by Chun Lei Zhou (1,389,000), Jesse Martin (840,000), Melissa Burr (661,000), the only one female participant of the final table and Allen Kessler (439,000). Those eight players are guaranteed to take home a minimum prize of $ 134,101 while the winner will collect $ 1,517,767 plus one WSOP bracelet.
