Six teams qualified for the 16th round and 5 others eliminated - World Cup 2014
The end of the second day of the World Cup 2014s first round has just seen the qualification of six countries for the knockout stage (the Netherlands, Colombia, Costa Rica, Argentina, Belgium and Chile) while five others irretrievably have to leave the competition (Cameroon, Australia, Spain, England and Bosnia and Herzegovina). On Monday, teams from Group A and Group B played their last game of the first round, at the end of which Brazil and Mexico found themselves qualified for the final 8 (in Group A). The Netherlands finished in the first place in Group B by accomplishing a great win over Chili (2-0); of course, many gamblers wagered on that meeting via online sports betting sites. There was so much at stake in this match since the No.1 of the group will not meet Brazil in the next round. The host country confirmed its first place in Group A on Monday night by crushing Cameroon with a huge score of 4-1. Croatia is the first team to head for the door after this third and last day of the first round.
For the 20 other teams, qualification is still possible with crucial games that will surely raise the stakes in sports betting. In Group C, Ivory Coast secures the best place. In Group D, Italy and Uruguay will fight for the second seat. As for France, Les Bleus has to finish first in Group E while Equateur and Switzerland will compete for the second place. In Group F, Nigeria has a great chance to qualify for the final 8. In Group G, Germany will certainly keep the first place while USA team should struggle for its second place in this group. And finally in Group H, second place will be sit by the winner of the Algeria Vs Russia game.
