From July 2 to 7 in Metro Card Club - APPT Manila
After some years of absence in the schedule, the Metro Club Manila is now hosting a new stage of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT). In fact, the event will open its door from July 2 to 7 here in this poker room. It is actually the 4th stage of the season 8. As a reminder, the Metro Card Club hosted the last APPT Manila event when it was at its 4th season. This poker event in the capital city of Philippines is great news for local poker players despite the holding of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas for eight weeks. Manila plays such an important role in the poker industry in Asia Pacific region as Macao does. The APPT Manila will offer six events all along the six days of festivity, including the PHP 10,000 Manila Cup, the PHP 20,000 Team Event, PHP 20,000 Knockout Bounty NLH, PHP 100,000 100kNLHE and the PHP 15,000 Deepstack.
The Main Event is the highlight of the tournament in Metro Card Club. This event will be held over three days with two days of start, from July 4 to 7 in which participants are to pay a direct buy-in of PHP 50,000. But one could be qualified for the Main Event by winning in the PHP 1,200 buy-in satellites tournaments. May we remind you that the last stage of the APPT Manila is dated back in 2010 when the tournament was part of the Pagcor Chairmans Cup. At that time, 430 players participated in the event of $ 2,700. Binh Nguyen emerged victorious and was awarded $ 260,700 of prize. Some notable poker players have already confirmed their presence in the season 8 of APPT Manila, ranging from the Season 4 winner Vivian Im to the 2010 Player of The Year Bryan Huang, Raymond Wu as well as Celina Lin.
