Selbst climbs to the 2nd rank, Hellmuth entered back in the Top 300 - GPI
The holding of the 45th edition of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) has strongly influenced the Top 300 of the Global Poker Indexs ranking. Just one week went by and now the poker room of Rio along with the WSOP 2014 event have already ranked ten other players: Roland Reparejo (Casino Employees), Vanessa Selbst ($ 25,000 NLHE), Brandon Shack-Harris ($ 1,000 PLO), Kyle Cartwright (1,000 $ NLHE), Tuan Le ($ 10,000 Limit 2-7 Triple Draw), Alex Bolotin ($ 1,500 NLHE), Ted Forrest ($ 1,500 Seven Card Razz), Jonathan Dimmig ($ 1,500 Millionaire Maker), Jeff Smith ($ 1,000 NLHE ) and Brock Parker ($ 10,000 Limit Omaha Hi-Low Championship). After the update of this June 2, the German Ole Schemion secures the No.1 seat of the list since a few weeks now. But he is closely followed by Vanessa Selbst who has just won the $ 25,000 NLHE for $ 871,148.
This woman American poker player relegates Scott Seiver and Byron Kaverman respectively in the 3th and 4th position. Philipp Gruissem secures his 5th position, followed by Dan Smith, Jason Mercier (+2), Jonathan Duhamel (-1), Stephen Chidwick (-1) and Daniel Negreanu who enters the Top 10. Matt Giannetti (247th) is the most improved player of the week with 196 points won following his 5th position in Mixed Max. Runner up of the Seven Card Razz, Phil Hellmuth remains in the Top 300 (226th); he won 102 points. Some poker players have also achieved remarkable performances this week, ranging from Joseph Cheong (+47 points) to Justin Bonomo (+61), Nick Schulman (+108), JC Tran (+83), Richard Lyndaker (+ 108), Brian Green (+161) and George Danzer (+112). The week was terrible for Kevin MacPhee (-50 places), David Vamplew (-19), Toby Lewis (-31), Tam Truong (-26) and Justin Young (-19) as well.
