Ted Forrest victorious in Razz Event, Hellmuth miss his 14th bracelet - WSOP 2014
Six hours were needed for the Seven Card Razz, Event #7 of the WSOP 2014 tournament to get its winner emerge from the Heads-up. Both Ted Forrest and Phil Hellmuth have delivered a great battle along the six hours clash, but Phil Hellmuth eventually missed his chance to win his 14th bracelet. As we know, both players are all regular participants in this circuit. Ted Forrest was targeting his sixth bracelet right at the beginning of the tournament. That victory was not a forgone conclusion since the chiplead constantly changed hands until Ted Forrest secured a chip advantage at level 27(Blinds: 40,000/80,000 and Ante: 10,000). This resounding win has provided Ted Forrest a prize of $ 121,196 while Phil Hellmuth remains the recordman of WSOP poker circuit with 13 bracelets in 49 final tables, along with 101 paid seats.
That final table was disputed by eight survivors among the 352 registered players in this poker tournament. Kevin Lacofano was the first to head for the door; he finished 8th and won $ 11,143. As for Yuebin Guo, he was eliminated in the 7th position; he pocketed $ 14,517. Brandon Cantu occupied the 6th place ($ 19,183). He was, after few hands later, followed by Brock Parker (5th, $ 25,717) and David Bach (4th, $ 34,979). Greg PappasÂ’ elimination in the third position ($ 48,275) has enabled Forrest to find himself facing Phil in heads-up, and eventually crushed the latter afterwards.
