Jiajun Liu wins the title - APPT Macau
Jiajun Liu grabs the season 8 Asia Poker Tour Macau trophy ( APPT Macau), a victory that provides him a good fortune valued at $ HK 2,776,000, a great sum of money that is equivalent to US $ 360,000. As a reminder, the finalists of the APPT Macau Main Event joined the poker room on Sunday. At the very start of the game, the Scottish poker player Thomas MCgarrity secures the place of chipleader. When there were only 4 players left on the table few hours later, the Australian poker legend Billy Argyros managed to take ahead over him and eliminated Thomas at the fourth position. Heading to his second APPT title, The Croc felt he would not win this time since he lost all of his chips in only two bad hands. He had to settle with the third position.
Soon after his elimination, the final clash saw the duel between the Chinese poker player Jianjun Liu and the French Cyril André. It has been an excitement-filled clash. The specialist of cash game, however, lost the battle and finished runner-up. After all, thanks to this poker adventure in Asia, Cyril André embellished his account with a much deserved prize of 160,000. As for the other finalists, Yen Han Chen is listed in the top 5 while Jean Marie Peyron, Yat Wai Cheng and Sailesh Verna ranked respectively 7th, 8th and 9th. May we remind you that the next stage of the APPT will take place in The Metro Card Club of Manilas in Philippines from July 2 to 7.
