The 4th stage of the season from May 21 to 25 - Genting Poker Series
Genting Club Stoke room, UK, will receive from Wednesday, May 21 the 4th stage of the Genting Poker Series (GPS). After Southends last month during which Rob McAdam emerged victorious in a field of 270 players, this time, it is Stokes turn to host the GPS poker circuit during five days. Last year, the GPS event attracted 415 participants. Tony Hallam was the winner, pocketing a much deserved prize of £ 166,000. As it becomes as a tradition in any Genting Poker Series stages, the Day 1A will be played online on Genting Poker and Dusk Till Dawn from 9:00 pm. Participants in this online qualification have to pay the entrance fee of ¨440 for a starting stack of 25,000 chips and blinds that change every 24 minutes of play.
The Day 1B and Day 1C will be held respectively on Thursday 22 and Friday May 23 in Genting Stoke Club, accessible via a buy-in of £ 440 with 25,000 chips but in one hours level. The Main Event guarantees a prizepool of £ 125,000, an amount of money that could be increased regarding the growing number of participants last year. The GPS Stoke also offers two side events of £ 85 and £ 30 that respectively guarantee a prizepool of £ 5,000 and £ 2,000. Since last week, many live and online satellite tournaments had been held, providing seats to qualify in GPS Main Event. Players still have the opportunity to secure seven seats for this poker tournament until Thursday, May 22.
