Global Poker Index: German players dominate the rankings!
Every week, an update is made to the ranking GPI Top 300 players of live poker tournament. The German poker player Ole Schemion remains on top of the list according to the GPI rankings of May 12. The classification has been dominated by Germans with two players in the Top 3. Actually Phillip Gruissem finishes third, just behind the American Scott Seiver. As for Byron Kaverman (+1), he jumps out to the fifth position, which is Vanessa Selbt (-1)s place one week earlier. Marvin Rettenmaier remains in sixth place of the GPI list, followed by Dan Smith (+1), Stephen Chidwick (+ 2), Jason Mercier (-2) and Jonathan Duhamel (+3). Some illustrious poker players have also managed to improve their rankings this week, ranging from Joseph Serock (12th, + 2) to Daniel Negreanu (13th, +3), Jeffrey Rossiter (14th, +3), Bryn Kenney (15th, +4), Alex Bilokur (17th, +3) and David Peters (18th, +3) as well.
James Carroll is the best players of the week thanks to his thrilling victories in Wynn Classic 2014 and WPT Bay Shooting Stars 101 two months ago. The American poker player won 182 spots to rank 298th this week in GPI TOP 300. Other poker players like Goran Mandic, Atanas Georgiev, Vineet Pahuja, Greg Mueller and Sam Trickett also are seen in the GPI Top 300. Paralleling that, many players have lost few places this week, such as Martin Finger (-8) Steven Silverman (15), Toby Lewis (-17), Dominik Nitsche (-14), Tam Truong (20) Justin Bonomo (-15), Igor Kurganov (-41) and Ray Qartomy (-60).
