GPI: Ole Schemion takes the second spot, Philipp Gruissem finishes third!
The Global Poker Index has released their Top 300 tournament poker players in the world in recent weeks. Significant changes were spotted. In the top 10 players of the GPI 300 in live poker tournament this week, Ole Schemion remains at the top of the standings with a comfortable lead over his nearest rival Scott Seiver (+1). Philipp Gruissem finished third (+35), followed by Vanessa Selbt (-2), Byron Kaverman (+2), Marvin Rettenmaier, Jason Mercier (-3), Dan Smith (-3), Mike McDonald (-1) and Stephen Chidwick (+14). The GPI 2013 POY title winner Ole Schemion remains in the contendersÂ’ list in the hunt for his second title this year. Ranked second, he will challenge the Season XII WPT world Championship winner Keven Stammer.
As for the Irish Dermot Blain, he is the most significant player of the week; he moved up 110 spots and ranked 69th. Other poker players with better performance are also found in the list: Daniel Stern (83th, +73), John Juanda (184th, +99) and Liv Boeree (196th, +85). However, Marcel Luske is listed in the circle of the players who fell the furtherst this week; he dropped 35 spots and finished 174th .This is also the case for Lasell King ( 228th, -39), Benjamin Hamnett (232nd, -38) Kiryl Radzivonau (253rd, -40), Mateusz Moolhuizen (259th, -69) and Adam Friedman (290th, -63). Interestingly, many less-known poker players appear in the GPI Top 300 tournament poker playersÂ’list this week: Mayu Roca Uribe, Benny Spindler, Miroslav Halilovic, Santiago Nadal, Rumen Nanev, Pascal Lefrancois, Salman Behbehani, Ivan Soshnikov Joao Vieira, Jeffrey Hakim, Tom Dobrilovic, and Jean-Stephane Benadiba Christmas Thorel.
