IPO Casino di Campione2014: Victory of Carlo Sacinelli over Reto Locher!
Carlo Savinelli accomplished a great win in the Italian Poker Open poker tournament and added other 200,000 in his live tournament takings. On Wednesday afternoon, the three last survivors of the IPO joined Campione final table to continue the interrupted game of the previous day. Reto Locher began this final table of three players as chipleader with a comfortable stack of 49,800,000 chips against 33,600,000s for Carlo Savinelli and 13,100,000s for Antonio Smeraglia. Short stack of the final table, Antonio was unsurprisingly the first to head for the door. His third place allowed him though to gain 100,000.
Heads-up finally saw an exiting clash between a more determined Reto Locher and short-stack player Carlo Savinelli. Both players started this ultimate heads up of the IPO Main Event 2014 respectively with 70.6 million and 23.1 million chips. It was a high-level challenge for both of them since they were already accustomed to high-pressure tournaments. In their respective records, Carlo has won three poker titles (Slovenia Open2010, People Poker Tour 2012, EPT Campione 2012) whereas Locher has two (Swiss Poker Master 2009, Snai Poker Cup 2010). In addition, both players have already won many paid places in live circuit. However, the final deal in this poker tournament of 2 300 participants entitled Carlo Savinelli as the No.1 winner. He won 240,000 euro for this amazingly remarkable performance while Reto Locher settled with 140,000. For the other players, Antonio Pezzi finished fourth and won 73,000, followed by Virgilio Di Cicco (5th, 56,000), Fabrizio Zucca (6th, 42,000), Elia Franceschini (7th, 32,000), Maurizio Giaffreda (8th, 22,000) and Paolo De Angelis 9th and earned 16,215.
