Women in Poker Hall of Fame 2014: The nominees named revealed
Seven qualified women take part in the race for the Women in Poker Hall of Fame. Some of them have heavily contributed to the development of the poker industry whereas the others have just accomplished bigger-shaped exploits in poker tournaments chaired by Lupe Soto. Among them, we can cite Donna Blevins, a female poker player who has a huge talent in the field of Journalism. Her works has occupied the Beginners corner of the Poker Digest column for 5 years. She has also a strong expertise in coaching. Debbie Burkhead also is part of these seven nominees. She has won several takings in the World Series of Poker (WSOP); she is currently working in the field of Media.
Deborah Giardina, as for her, has devoted 25 years of her life in the development of poker industry. She now directs world-class online poker site which has long struggled to provide poker fans respect they do deserve. Ruth Hall, a professional poker player, Esther Rossi, the one who won the Super Bowl of Poker, had six final tables and pocketed several cashes at the WSOP. Allyin Jaffrey Shulman is famed for the Venetian tournament by which she won 5,000 in the Extravaganza Deep Stacks III 2013. She also is known for her big exploit during the WSOP 2012 Senior Championship. And finally, Jennifer Tilly, she was the No.1 female in the WSOPs Ladies Event2005. These seven nominees were selected by the Board of Directors of the Association, some members of the Poker Hall of Fame and a handful numbers of the Media officers. Voting began on April 29. It should be mentioned that the Induction ceremony will be held in June 25, 2014 in Augusta Pebbles Ballrooms, at Golden Nugget Casino, Las Vegas.
