Global Poker Index: Ole Schemion as new leader
Thanks to two major achievements that he realized during this month of April, namely a victory at the 10,300 High Roller of the European Poker Tour (EPT) San Remo and a seventh place in the Super High Roller at 100,000 of Monaco, Ole Schemion propelled himself to the lead of the classification Global Poker Index (GPI). Now, the German pro of poker has about 4,000 points. He has taken a good step ahead compared with the player who is in the second position, namely Vanessa Selbst. The latter has 3,598.53 points. Ole Schemion has thus more chances to keep during a certain time his title of honor. In the third place, we find Marvin Rettenmaier. Jason Mercier, Mike McDonald, Dan Smith, Mukul Pahuia, Joseph Serock, Paul Volpe and Shannon Shorr complete the top 10 of the ranking. They occupy respectively the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th position.
We have to say that the players coming from the Northern America dominate the twenty first places of the classifications. The French players are rather setback because we have to go in the 32nd position to find Roger Hairabedian. He is followed by Davidi Kitai in the 33rd position, Bertrand Grospellier in the 40th position, Fabrice Soulier in the 71st position and Erwann Pecheux in the 80th position. Of course, nothing is won yet because numerous poker tournaments are still coming. The results of the EPT Monaco and of the World Series Of Poker will certainly bring a significant modification to the GPI.
