WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown: 175 survivors during the Day 1A
The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, in the United States, received since March 27th of this year the penultimate step of the Season XII of the World Poker Tour (WPT). This Florida poker festival will be closed by a few days by the final table of the Main Event with a buy-in of $3,500, for a prizepool guaranteed of $5 million. As a reminder, the season will end in April 21st of this year with the WPT World Championship. The Main Event of this poker tournament began in Thursday with the participation of 479 players. Numerous players are waited because the Main Event of the WPT Seminole counts two other departure days (Day 1B and 1C). At the end of the first day, 175 players qualified for the Day 2 of Sunday.
Justin Young was the chipleader of the Day 1A with a stack of 313,200 chips. Other players occupy also a comfortable place at the beginning of the Day 2, following the example of Ryan D'Angelo (271,300), Mark Darner (238,700), François Gagne (211,500), Kyle Keranen (210,400), as well as Tuan Le (202,900). A lot of players failed also in the Day 1A, but the formula re-entry will allow them to come back in the Day 1B and 1C. Among the notable players who were less fortunate till the end of the day, we find Phil Laak, Jason Mercier, Jonathan Aguiar, Todd Terry, Justin Zaki, Darryll Fish, Jared Jaffee, Paul Klann, James Calderaro, Jennifer Tilly, Dan Heimiller, Matt Stout, Sean Jazayeri, Mohsin Charania, Jeff Madsen, Blair Hinkle, Mike Sowers and Amir Babakhani. The game will resume this Friday at noon with the Day 1B with 10 other levels of 60 minutes.
