Chicago Poker Classic VI: 10 events and $2.5 million guaranteed
Rich of its five years of existence, the Chicago Poker Classic (CPC) comes back this winter with its sixth edition. Like last year, the Horseshoe Hammond casino will be the host of this poker festival of the State of Indiana, in the United States. This event will be held from April 29th to May 12th 2014 and guarantees a prizepool of more than $2.5 million. The CPC 2014 counts ten major events, following the example of the $350 NLH which guarantees a prizepool of $1,000,000. Last year, this poker tournament was won by Craig Casino for a gain of $169,000. This year, the organizers hope to exceed the field of 5,165 players of last year.
The CPC tournaments are going to be accessible by $150 for satellites tournaments, but other more interesting events are also scheduled for the greatest happiness of visitors. Thus, we find again tournaments such as the $350 NLH Stimulus, the $400 PLO, the $500 HORSE, the $600 Deepstack 6-max and the $250 NLH which guarantees a prizepool of $250,000, in addition to a new car. In fact, the winner of this $250 NLH Re-Entry will receive a package of $10,000 for the Main Event of the WSOP, as well as a Chrysler 300S 2014 amounted at $30,000. But the key point of the Chicago Poker Classic remains the Main Event with a buy-in of $1,500. This event will take place in the poker room of Horseshoe Hammond from May 9th and guarantees a prizepool of $1,000,000 and packages of $10,000 for the Main Event of the WSOP. Last year, Blake Bohn won the tournament on a field of 392 players for a prize of $288,000.
