Main Event of the EPT Vienna: Oleksii Khoroshenin, leader after the Day 1A
Vienna seems to be a poker destination very appreciated by players in this period. After the success met by the Eureka Poker Tour, 1,432 registrations in the Main Event and 455 in the High Roller, more than 300 players registered in the Main Event of the European Poker Tour during the Day 1A. As a reminder, Zoltan Gal has won the Main Event of the Eureka Poker Tour for a gain of 208,655, while Lars Tungel stood out in the High Roller tournament (77,250). The first day of the Main Event of the EPT Vienna has gathered 341 players, a field which comes closer of the one of the last step of the season 7 (578 incomers), while the Day 1B promises more significant rush with its re-entry formula. Note that out of the 1,432 registered in the Main Event of the Eureka Poker Tour, 975 entered in the Day 1B.
At the end of yesterday, the Ukrainian Oleksii Khoroshenin took the lead out of the 182 survivors. Khoroshenin concluded the Day 1A with 171,900 chips. Dzmitry Urbanovich was second in chips in this poker tournament with 163,400, followed by Konstantinos Stratopoulos (158,100), Sergii Baranov (155,000), Jesper Hoog (149,200), Mohamed Kerkeni (140,600), Dominik Nitsche (138,000), Gottfried Franz (136,400), Yulius Sepman (131,200) and Vladimir Geshkenbein (130,000) which concludes the Top 10 of the chipcount at the end of the day. Apart from Mohamed Kerkeni, other French players stood out during this day, namely Antoine Saout (14th) and Édouard Mignot (39th).
