GPI: Daniel Negreanu dominates the ranking, Vanessa Selbst enters in the Top 3
Since its launching a few years ago, 4 years to be precise, the ranking Global Poker Index (GPI) receives a weekly update. For the sixth successive week, the Canadian Daniel Negreanu dominates the classification of the 300 best players of live poker in the world. The German Ole Schemion remains on Daniel Negreanus heels, while the third place went to Vanessa Selbst, following the update of last March 17th of this year. Vanessa Selbst won four places and thus outstrips Marvin Rettenmaier, Jason Mercier, Dan Smith and Mike McDonald. Philipp Gruissem takes the 8th place (+2), followed by Shannon Shorr and Sorel Mizzi who closes the Top 10 with a gain of six places.
Joseph Serock and Erik Seidel won two places in the ranking and raise respectively in the 12th and 13th place. His 39th place in the recent WPT Bay 101 Rolling Thunder should push Joseph Serock more in the GPI ranking. We can also expect the comeback of JC Tran in the Top 300 of the GPI, after his beautiful victory in the Rolling Thunder. Before this poker tournament, the American was still in the 331st place. Always in the Top 20, Paul Volpe is in the 15th place (-7), after the 8th place of last week. Garrett Greer signs the best progress of the week by hitting the 230th place (+239). Since the beginning of the year, Garrett Greer has pocketed an earning of more than $200,000 for his paid places at the WPT LA Poker Classic and in the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Stars.
