WPT Rolling Thunder: JC Tran among the six finalists, Quoc Pham chipleader

The WPT Bay 101 Rolling Thunder has reached its final table, after four days of fierce competition in the poker room of Thunder Valley Casino. On the 465 players of the departure, only six managed to be qualified for the final, after the elimination of Ryan D'Angelo in the 7th place. Bubble boy of the final table, D'Angelo settled with a prize of $41,410. Quoc Pham was the chipleader of this final table, while Ken Jorgensen was the shortstack. Both are unknown players of this final because the four others, namely Preston Harwell, Benjamin Zamani, Mimi Luu and JC Tran, have already stood out their imprint in live tournaments.

Very popular in the universe of live poker, JC Tran is the player to be watched closely during this final. Holder of two WSOP bracelets and 1 WPT title, Justin Cuong Van Tran counts an earning of $10,911,500 in career. The resident of Sacramento fights for a new WPT title at home, but the victory isn’t acquired in advance in a final table composed of experienced players such as Preston Harwell (4th place in the WSOP Circuit in last January), Benjamin Zamani (4th place during the PCA 2010) and Mimi Luu (winner of a Side Event of the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star 2011). The tournament will resume on blinds of 15,000/30,000, ante 5,000. Quoc Pham is going to begin the final table with 5,580,000 chips, followed by Preston Harwell (4,425,000), Benjamin Zamani (1,990,000), Mimi Luu (735,000), JC Tran (710,000) and Ken Jorgensen (510,000).
