LSOP: Alberto Cartin keeps the lead at the start of the Day 5
Alberto Cartin is definitely the strongman of the poker tournament Latin Series of Poker Millions (LSOP). Since the Day 1B, the Costa Rican dominates in masters hand the Main Event by finishing chipleader at the end of each day, except for the Day 3. At the end of the Day 5, Alberto Cartin is the leader out of the 26 survivors with more than 1.5 million chips. These survivors of the previous day will come back this Friday, March 14th in the poker room of Majestic Casino in Panama City, Panama, for the penultimate day of the LSOP Millions 2014. Alberto Cartin occupies a favorable place at the start of the Day 5 with a stack of 1,655,000 chips, while his direct pursuers are at little more than one million chips, namely the Colombian Andres Parias (1,189,000) and the American Manne Ravi (1,159,000). The chipleader of the Day 3, Alon Raz, will also be part of the field for the Day 5 with his 913,000 chips.
Among the survivors of the day, we find also numerous well known players like the winner of the Latin America Poker Tour 2013 in Uruguay, Carter Gill, Oscar Ortiz, Ignacio Barbero, Guillermo Echevarria, Leonardo Tarazona, Adam Reynolds, Chachita Varela, as well as Maziar Keshavarzi. The list of qualified got rich with Jose « Nacho » Barbero, Roman Valerstein, Rafael Pardo or Bolivar Palacios. Besides, the Day 5 will be played without Manrique Quezada, Bill Cole, Carlos Lam and Gabriel Diaz. The stake of this day was to qualify for the final table of Saturday, because the 26 players are already guaranteed to leave with a minimum earning of $5,335.
