Latin Series of Poker Millions: Carter Gill wins his second title in Latin America
During the last weekend, the last day of the Main Event du Latin Series of Poker Millions (LSOP Millions) was played with nine players, in the persons of Jose « Nacho » Barbero, Oscar Ortiz, Keshavarzi Maziar, Leonardo Tarazona, Carter Gill, Adam Reynolds, Alon Raz, Guillermo Echevvaria and Francis Cruz. Leonardo Tarazona started the final table with the most of chips on the table (2,653,000), but at the end of the day, the poker tournament turned in the favor of the American Carter Gill. Carter Gill started the final table in the eight place of the chipcount (1,301,000), just before Adam Reynolds who counted only the half. But he was quickly at the lead by eliminating most of players gathered on the table. The shortstack of the final table, Adam Reynolds, was his first victim, followed a few hands later by Francis Cruz (6th, $33,950).
Jose « Nacho » Barbero was eliminated in the 5th place by Leonardo Tarazona and left the table with $43,625. Tarazona didnt resist a long time in front of the strong pressure of the chipleader of the Day 4 and second in chips, at the start of the final table, Alon Raz. At this stage, the title of LSOP Millions was played between Alon Raz, Carter Gill and Maziar Keshavarzi. Two hands later, Maziar Keshavarzi joined the list of eliminated (3rd, $75,675) on an all-in in front of Carter Gill. The heads-up was short because the difference of chips was to the detriment of Alon Raz (2nd, $100,600). Carter Gill won his second title rewarded with $175,000 in live poker events in Latin America, after a victory in the LAPT Uruguay in 2013.
