Marrakech Poker Open: A spectacular feat for Olivier Paris
In spite of the death of the owner of the Casino es Saadi, occurring during the inaugural event, the 31st edition of the Marrakech Poker Open (MPO) has registered a great success. The poker tournament has registered a record field of 435 participants, including the 123 re-entries. It has ended with the spectacular triumph of the French player Oliver Paris. Its brilliantly that this poker player has defied all obstacles to climb the first step of the podium. Thus, he has just won the greatest triumph in his career. Before this victory in Morocco, Oliver Paris had to settle with a place of runner-up in the Cannes Poker Festival 2014 and a bronze medal in the Wagram Masters 2010.
Let us note that the battle was particularly tough during the final table, and eliminations were fast. The Belgian players Bart Lybaert and Jonathan Abdellatif have dominated the round. After the exit of Ricardo Manquant at the 4th place, the two accomplices have tried to block Paris road, but the latter wasnt passive even he held the lowest stack. First, he managed to balance the number of chips. After, he eliminated Jonathan Abdellatif and has taken the place of chipleader. With his advantage of chips number and his determination, Olivier Paris has ousted his opponent in the final duel, at the end of thirty minutes only. Bart Lybaert has thus bowed in the place of runner-up, rewarded with a bonus of MAD350, 000. Let us note that Roger Hairabedian and his son Gregory have also taken part in this event. If the father was ranked 43th, his son has reached the 21st position. Both were entitled with a part of the jackpot.
