Aussie Millions 2014: Start of the $100,000 Challenge
The edition 2014 of the Aussie Millions is already coming to its 15th day of competition. Several tournaments in the program have already announced their results, like the event 8 Game Mixed at $2,500 which has crowned James Obst as champion. The latter has ousted Jan Shuchanek during the final duel. For this achievement, Obst has pocketed the first prize of $47,000 and the golden ring; well deserved rewards given that this professional of online poker has dominated great opponents following the example of the international star Matthew Ashton and the member of the Australian Poker Hall of Fame, Gary Benson. His opponent in the heads-up is also a renowned player who won the title of the 8-Game at $1,100 in 2012. Other events are going to start on Friday February 7th, like the No-limit Holdem Six-Handed Shot Clock Event, the Challenge at $100,000 and the H.O.R.S.E at $2,500.
At this moment, the prestigious poker room of Crown Melbourne casino is hosting the 109 participants of the Main event at $10,600, who compete for a place for the Day 4. This event has registered a total field of 657 participants, including renowned players, following the example of international stars such as Victor Blom, Billy Arguros, Philip Gruissem, Joe Hachem and Patrick Antonius. A large number of professional players present since the start of the event are already eliminated and didnt have acceded to the paid place. After the bubble burst, Patrick Crivell, Sorel Mizzi and Raymond Wu are still in the running and they are in good way to win a place for the final table.
