WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open: 657 survivors for the Day 2
While most of French players are in Deauville on the occasion of the European Poker Tour, Guillaume Darcourt has preferred to cross the Atlantic sea to participate in the WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open. This poker event proves to be a great success, given the number of players who moved at Borgota Hotel & Casino of Atlantic City. Among the players who registered at the Day 1, we could meet Chino Rheem, Mike Sexton, Will Failla, Vanessa Selbst, Kathy Liebert, Matt Salsberg, Andy Frankenberger as well as Greg Merson. The Main Event has registered 1,229 registrations thanks to its re-entry formula. Its the second greatest influx recorded by the circuit, after the 1,313 comers of the WPT Borgata Poker Open 2011.
At the end of the two departure days, 657 players survived for the Day 2. The chipleader of the Day 1A, Lazaro Hernandez, keeps his place at the beginning of the Day 2 with 258,175 chips. The two strong men of the Day 1B, Todd Rebello and Robert Boyko, are just behind with respective stacks of 229,825 and 209,500 chips. Other players such as John Racener, Barry Ostad, Calvin Lee, Jordan Cristos, Mike Linster, Randy Pfeifer and George Lambert occupy also favorable places with more than 140,000 chips at the end of the Day 1. Concerning the eliminated, we remind the case of Guillaume Darcourt who didnt manage to qualify for the next round at the end of the Day 1B. This poker tournament guarantees a minimum price of $6,739 for the 120 paid places. The winner of the televised final table is going to be awarded with $842,379.
