Global Poker Index: Ole Schemion, best player of 2013
Decidedly, 2013 was a consecration of German poker players! After the naming of the German Niklas Heinecker as best player of online poker in 2013 in terms of gains, $6.3 million, another German dominates the Global Poker Index (GPI). Following the last update of the week, Ole Schemion was elected best player of the year by occupying the first place of the « 2013 GPI Player of the Year » and the one of the « GPI 300 ». The German counts 14 final tables, 3 victories and an earning of $1,652,680 in 2013. In the ranking GPI Player of the Year2013, Ole Schemion outstrips Daniel Negreanu of short head who, as a reminder, was elected « Player of the decade ». In the rest of the classification, we find Paul Volpe in the 3rd place, followed by Bryn Kenney, David Peters, Mike Watson, Philipp Gruissem, Steven Silverman, Jonathan Duhamel and Shannon Shorr to conclude the Top 10.
Ole Schemion dominates also the classification of the 300 best players of the Global Poker Index, in front of Daniel Negreanu, Philipp Gruissem, Marvin Rettenmaier, Vanessa Selbst, Bryn Kenney, Shannon Shorr, Steve O'Dwyer, Paul Volpe and Erik Seidel. His 7th place in the recent poker tournament $100,000 Super High Roller of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure has allowed Ole Schemion to keep the difference in front of Daniel Negreanu. This week was also marked by the come back of John Juanda in the GPI Top 300, to occupy the 159th place.
