Flaine Poker Nights: Poker at an altitude of 2,500 meters
Situated at an altitude of 2,500 meters, the ski resort of Flaine, in Haute-Savoie Department, in France, is one of the most preferred by the fanatics of winter sports and sliding sports in this wintry period. But apart from its wonderful tracks of driving on ice, snowpark, paragliding, trades and ski lifts, the resort seduces also enthusiasts of poker, since the holding of the Flaine Poker Nights. After forty years of success thus, the event Flaine Poker Nights is coming back from January 11th to 17th of 2014, with a series of Texas holdem poker tournaments. The formula has always seduced numerous visitors, as they will be able to play at poker every night, and this, during a whole week after a day of skiing.
According to the Académie Cluses Poker, the organizer of the tournament, the principle always remain the same but some changes have been brought on the terms; thanks to a partnership with an online poker room. For that purpose, numerous prizes such as sunglasses, poker cases, sweat shirts, t-shirts, travel bags, caps, mouse pads are to be won during this week of high-altitude poker. Each day from Sunday January 12th, Sit&Go tournaments and initiations to poker are going to be organized. On Monday January 13th, a « Presentation » tournament will be organized above the gondola of the Grandes Platières. The « Ladies » tournament will be held on Wednesday January 15th and the « Great Tournament » will take place on Thursday January 16th. The awards of the prizes of the tournaments of the week will also be held during this last day of the Flaine Poker Nights.
