Latin American Poker Tour: The schedule of the season 7 revealed
Poker is a growing game in Latin America, if we consider the notoriety that the poker tournament Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) has built up within its six years of existence. The president of the LAPT, David Carrion, presented officially during last weekend the schedule of the season 7, by specifying that 2013 was the best season of the circuit and that its organization plans to bring improvements in the calendar, in order to maintain the rhythm with a more important field. During its 6th edition of the Latin American Poker Tour, more than 4,000 players coming from 62 different countries participated in the main events. This influence generated a prizepool of more than $9.7 million.
The LAPT promises a more exciting new season, specifies the director of the LAPT tournament, Michael Ward. In fact, the organizers have introduced two new tournaments for the season 7, namely the $500 NLH Freezeout, with levels of 30 minutes, and the $500 NLH Deepstack Turbo, with a single re-entry. Other changes have been also brought, like the buy-in of the Main Events ($1,700 for the season and $3,000 for the Grande Finale), and the rising of the buy-in of the $500 NLH at $1,100. For the schedule, the step of Brazil is the real novelty of the season 7. Thus, the new season is going to start by a step in Chili, at Enjoy Casino and Resort of Viña del Mar (March 19-23), followed by the LAPT/BSOP Brazil (May 30 June 03 ), the tour will be continued in Panamá (June 23-27 ), the 4th step is to confirm but it should be held between September 10 to 14, the stopover in Peru is planned on October 15 to 19 and the Grande Finale in Uruguay should take place on November 26 to 30.
