German Poker Tour: Mirel Abordeenci, chipleader at the start of the Day 2

Since last week, the King’s Casino of Rozvadov in Czech Republic was in excitement with the holding of the German Poker Tour (GPT). The hostilities started on Wednesday with the €120 NLH Rebuy/Re-Entry poker tournament, but the main event of the GPT started the day after, with a buy-in of €550, for a final table planed on Wednesday, January 1st. The German Poker Tour stood out by its three first days (1A, 1B and 1C) which gathered 536 participants. In fact, the Days 1A and 1B were marked by the participation of 207 players. The field was inflated by the 329 entries of Saturday, the last departure day of the GPT Main Event.



At the end of its three departure days, 288 players qualified for the Day 2. The 288 survivors of the Day 1 will try to qualify for the next round or finish in paid places. The 63 first ITM will share the prizepool of €263,256. The first player eliminated of the ITM will pocket €851, while the winner of this poker event is going to be granted with €58,048. The runner up of the GPT will receive a prize of €35,861 against €23,537 for the 3rd place, €16,336 (4th), €11,958 (5th), €9,208 (6th), €7,440 (7th), €6,295 (8th) and €5,565 (9th). At the start of the Day 2, German players occupied a favorable place with the three first places of the chipcount. Mirel Doru Abordeencei is the chipleader with 325,000 chips, followed by MrRun (303,000) and Der Fischer (287,600).
