Playtech: Cessation of its gambling offerings in the Netherlands and Finland
A few weeks ago, rumors circulated on the cessation of Playtechs activity in Canada, in the Netherlands and in Finland. According to the last news, the developer of online gambling software confirmed that the termination will affect only the Netherlands and Finland and the Canadian market will continue to benefit from the products of Playtech. The real reason of the cessation of activity in these two countries has not been disclosed, but observers believe that it has a relationship with the local regulations. Thus, Playtech will be able to continue to provide its products on the Canadian soil as gambling whose license has been issued by authentic gaming commissions as those of the Isle of Man are in accordance with the Canadian law on gambling and games of chance.
Titan Poker, Vegas Red and Europa Casino, trademarks of online casino, poker and sports betting which are all part of the affiliate program of Playtech for Europe, known under the name Europartners are all affected by the withdrawal of the Finnish and Dutch market. It goes without saying that the cessation of Playtechs activity will have an impact inside online players in these countries as sites choice will become restricted. The withdrawal of Playtech is otherwise linked to the European market, which is already at its peak. The saturation of the online gambling market of the Old Continent brings software developers to break other markets including that of Asia, which is currently expanding.
