Main Event of the EPT London 2013: Robin Ylitalo wins £560,980
Last week, the Grand Connaught Rooms of London was converted in a big poker room for the reception of the London step of the European Poker Tour Season 10. The Main Event of the EPT London gathered a field of 604 players which, after five days, was reduced to eight players: Kully Sidhu, Georgios Karakousis, Ludovic Geilich, Leo McClean, Stefan Vagner, Robin Ylitalo, Jeff Rossiter and Jan Olav Sjavik. At the end of this final table, Robin Ylitalo got rid of his seven opponents and seized the title. The day started with the elimination of Kully Sidhu in the 8th place for £30,640. A few hands later, he was joined by Jan Olav Sjavik for a gain of £88,175. As he made an all-in for almost 2 million chips, Stefan Vagner was eliminated in the 6th place (£119,225) during the level 29, by Robin Ylitalo.
During the level 30, we attended a double elimination of Jeff Rossiter and Ludovic Geilich. Chipleader at the beginning of the final table, Jeff Rossiter lost his chips little by little, before being definitively eliminated by Georgios Karakousis. As for him, Ludovic Geilich was eliminated by Robin Ylitalo in the 4th place. Both players pocketed respectively £152,320 and £193,340. The elimination of Leo McClean in the 3rd place for an earning of £249,850 allowed Georgios Karakousis and Robin Ylitalo to meet in heads-up. Robin Ylitalo stood out and afterward pocketed £560,980, while Georgios Karakousis, runner-up of this London poker tournament settled with £349,200.
