WPT National Marrakesh: Victory of Ricardo Manquant in Morocco
The poker room of the Casino Es Saadi in Marrakesh was full to bursting during the first edition of the WPT National Marrakesh, which was held during last week. The Main Event at 1,500 of buy-in gathered a field of 465 players, following the example of the November Nine Mark Newhouse as well as Michael Mizrachi. The event came to its end on Sunday evening with the victory of Ricardo Manquant. After five final tables in poker tournament at the Casino of Marrakesh, among which two during the Marrakesh Poker Open, Ricardo Manquant won finally his first victory and pocketed more than 125,000.
The title was played between the eight survivors of the tournament, namely Omar Al Qarda, Romain Matteoli, Christophe Le Bellec, Khalil Souara, Rachid Arbaoui, Rémi Marrale, Roland Rozel and Ricardo Manquant. But at the end of the day, Ricardo Manquant won the first edition 2013 of the WPT National Marrakesh, after a heads-up with Christophe Le Bellec. In addition to the gain of 127,273, Ricardo Manquant received a ticket of an amount of 7,500 for the WPT Grand Prix of Paris. For his place of runner-up, Christophe Le Bellec left the final table with 81,818. Khalil Saoura has been eliminated in the 3rd place for a gain of 54,545, just after the elimination of Romain Matteoli (4th, 38,636). The other eliminated of the final table are respectively Roland Rozel (5th, 30,909), Rachid Arbaoui (6th, 25,000), Rémi Marrale (7th, 19,545) and Omar El Quarda (8th, 14,545). Among the 54 players eliminated ITM, we find Jérémy Palvini, Alexandre Réard, Alain Roy, Yann Migeon, Yorane Kérignard, Mike Said, Anthony Picault, Paul-François Tedeschi, Sébastien Compte as well as Anthony Rodrigues.
