New Jersey: Reception of complementary files for the license before September 20th
Since the beginning of the year, the United States are mobilizing for the legalization of gambling and intra-state online poker. At the moment, only three States, namely New Jersey, Nevada and Delaware legalized their poker and other online gambling. While Caesars Entertainment gets ready to join Ultimate Poker in Nevada this week, with the launch of the poker room under the brand WSOP, the State of New Jersey prepares the reception of casinos applications for the license of online gaming, within the State. The Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) of the State of New Jersey has just set a deadline for the deposit of application. In fact, this commission of regulation of online gambling announced that land based casinos of the State, applicants of license, should complete their application file before Friday, September 20th of this year.
Last week, the Division of Gaming Enforcement sent a letter to all State casinos which have put down a license application. The license applicants should also inform the DGE concerning the equipment and game software which will be used on their platforms. Without this additional information that the DGE requires, the propositions of concerned casinos wont be examined, while a preliminary approval is required with the granting of the Interim Casino Authorization (ICA). The ICA allows State casinos to offer poker and other online games within the State. The license granting will take place within next coming weeks, with an opening of the market of online gambling, planned in November for New Jersey.
