Estrellas Poker Tour: Sönke Jahn wins the Grand Final
The fourth season of the Estrellas Poker Tour ended on last week with the victory of Sönke Jahn. This ESPT Grand Final was marked by the participation of 1,798 players, who paid a buy-in of 1,100 for the Main Event. This poker tournament guaranteed a minimum gain of 3,820 and it was Vladimir Dobrov who has been the first player awarded for his 67th place. After three days of competition, Sönke Jahn stood out on a final table which consisted of 7 other poker players, namely the chipleader at the start of the day Paul Nunes, Marcelo Fonseca, Ali Sameeian, Marc Pujol, Pablo Cusi, Lukasz Roczniak and Alfonso Amendola.
As it has just started, the final table was played without Alfonso Amendola, following his elimination in front of Paul Cusi, second at the chipcount. A little time after, Lukasz Roczniak also left the table with 41,100. In his turn, Pablo Cusi was also eliminated in the 6th place (53,800) in only three hands, even he managed to play poker well before. With five remaining players, Paul Nunes led the final table just before Sönke Jahn. Marc Pujol didnt resist a long time in front of Nunes and his elimination (5th, 67,400) led the four players to a deal: Paul Nunes (204,589), Sönke Jahn (169,136), Ali Sameeian (158,475) and Marcelo Fonseca (121,000). And it was decided that the 12,000 left will be allocated to the winner. Ali Sameeian and Marcelo Fonseca were respectively eliminated in the 4th and 3rd position. Sönke Jahn won the heads-up with Paul Nunes and pocketed a total gain of 181,136.
