Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open: 21 survivors at the end of the Day 3
After a very full Day 3 which was marked by the participation of 100 survivors of the previous days, the Main Event of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open continues its progress, with the Day 4 in which 21 players took the departure. The chipleader at the start of the Day 3, Justin Bonomo, is still in the running for the $1.7 million, but he conceded the first place of the chipcount to Mukul Pahuja, with 8.125 million chips. The latter has 2 million chips more than his direct pursuer, Blair Hinkle (6.550.000). All players have more than one million chips but some poker players like Ryan Olisar, Derrick Cutler, Jeremy Kottler, Amir Lehavot, Griffin Benger and Justin Bonomo are well placed, with more than 4 million in stack. The 21 survivors of this poker tournament will play until the constitution of the final table with 9 players, which guarantee a minimum gain of $174,525.
The beginning of this week also was marked by the launching of the WPT Alpha8 Series, which will be held at the same time as the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open, at Seminole Hard Rock of Hollywood, in Florida. This series of poker tournament with a minimum buy-in of $100,000 gathered a field of 21players for this inaugural step. 9 players survived in this first day and four out of them will be ITM, with a gain of $891,660 for the winner. Matt Glantz is the chipleader with 410,500 chips, but the day seems to be very difficulty because in the rest of the field, we find again Jason Mercier, JC Tran, Joseph Cheong, Isaac Haxton, Steven Silverman, Bill Perkins, Daniel Alaei and Jeff Gross.
