Macau Poker Cup: A fourth victory for Celina Lin
Regular of poker tournaments in Macau, Celina Lin made again talking about her by winning the inaugural event of the Macau Poker Cup. This is the fourth time in her career that Celina Lin Pei Fei won an event at the Macau Poker Cup poker tournament, the last time was in 2012. This poker player of 30 years won effectively the MPC Red Dragon Taipa Main Event of last year faces to a field of 391 players during which she pocketed HKD 85,800 (about U.S. $ 11,061). This year, the Chinese rewrote her name in the annals of the MPC by winning the NLH Deepstack HKD 2,000 (U.S. $ 260) buy-in. 205 players participated in this event, but there were remains only ten players in the poker room of City of Dreams Resort after two days of tournament: Hazel Chui, Liu Ye, Daniel Sing, Celina Lin, Xin Yin, Hui Tsung Lee, Lok Chun Wang, Ming Leung Ip, Georgiy Belyanin and William Hsu. These players met at the final table, which guaranteed a minimum gain of HKD 7,130.
Eliminations succeeded until there were only two players on the table, Celina Lin and Hazel Chui for a glamour heads-up. Ladies Event champion of the Asian Poker Tour Macau of last July, Hazel Yuen Shan Chui began the final duel with a higher stack, 3 against 1, but Celina Lin was able to reverse the trend until winning the victory. Hazel Chui settled for the 2nd place and the prize of HKD 59,000.
