ANZPT Snowfest: Bryan Huang, chipleader at the start of the Day 2
The third departure day of the Main Event of the ANZPT Queenstown Snowfest was held on Thursday, with the participation of 47 players. By combining the three days of departure, this event gathered 126 participants. At the end of the day, 18 players survived and will joint the survivors of the two firsts entry days of the Main Event. Been used to the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour and especially this step of Queenstown, Bryan Huang was at the top of the chart at the Day 1C, with a stack of 99,425 chips. He will be also the chipleader of the set of the Day 1C and the start of the Day 2, which will take place at the poker room of Sky City casino of Queenstown, this Friday. With three participations at the ANZPT Queenstown Snowfest, Huang has always reached twice the final table and this could be the right year, after a good start at the Day 1. Bryan Huang finished at the 9th place in 2010 and at the 7th place in 2012.
Behind Bryan Huang, we find respectively Lukas Byrns, Geoff Smith, Keith Walker, Kosei Ichinose, Alex Lynskey and Yi Won Lee who have a stack of more than 40,000 chips. Other players are also qualified for the Day 2, following the example of the current champion of the ANZPT Queenstown, David Allan (35,475), or the runner-up of the Event #2 of the WSOP APAC, Edison Nguyen (36,700). In all, 66 players qualified for the Day 2. The prizepool of NZ$340,200 will be shared between the 15 best players. The first eliminated player from the ITM will receive $5,950, while the winner will pocket $93,600.
