Sky Poker Tour: Ian Senior wins the step of Nottingham
The Sky Poker Tour is a poker tournament which meets a great success in England. Since the beginning of the year, four steps were held and the latest is the Sky Poker Tour Nottingham. This event took place during the last weekend at the Dusk Till Dawn Casino of Nottingham. 246 players have paid the buy-in of £220, to take part in the Main Event. After the Day 1, the field was reduced to 43 players with James Rann as chipleader. During the second day, 33 out of the 43 survivors of the first day were in the money, but the competition continued until the six-handed final table was defined. The bubble boy of the ITM was Stephen Jenners Jennison, following his elimination at the 34th place.
With 8 players left, Ian Senior started the final table like in an online poker, with the largest number of chips (1,425,000), followed by James Savastano, Ross Bennett and Ryan Spittles, who had also more 1 million chips. The rest of the field consisted of Gordon Casey, James Rann and Tommy Dyer. The final table guaranteed a minimum gain of £1,917, which went to Ryan Spittles, the first player eliminated of the final. The eliminations continued with these of Gordon Casey (5th, £2,343), James Rann (4th, £2,982) and James Savastano (3rd, £4,260). Chipleader at the beginning of the final table, Ian Senior kept his advance and met Ross Bennett in heads-up. Ian Senior counted 3 million chips more than his opponent, during the final face to face. Ian Senior stood out easily in front of his opponent of the day and pocketed £12,311. Ross Bennett left the final table with £7,114 in pocket, for his place of runner-up.
