IPT Sanremo 2013: Piva Fabrizio leads with 8 players left
After the victory at the Main Event of the Mini IPT Sanremo of last week, the poker festival at Casino di Sanremo continued with the Italian Poker Tour (ITP). This second step of the IPT 2013 was marked by the participation of 245 players, among which there were 64 during the Day 1A and 181 at the Day 1B. All these people paid a buy-in of 2,200, which generated a prizepool of 477,240. This main event reached its final table after four days of competition, in which eliminations followed one after one to reduce the field at 8 players. 33 players took the star of the Day 3, as for stake for those who manage to play poker well, the 24 places paid with minimum of 5,600, but mainly with qualification for the final table. Notable players such as Carla Solinas or Jackson Genovesi finished outside the ITM. Yuriy Nesterenko was the bubble boy, after he was eliminated at the 25th place.
The elimination continued till the obtaining of the final table and in the wake, the poker tournament has lost some players following the example of the winner of the Mini IPT Sanremo 2010 Muhamet Perati, Daniele Guidetti or Massimiliano Mosele. The latter missed the final table by one place and left the table with 9,600 as consolation. The title will be played between the chipleader of the final table Fabrizio Piva (1,390,000 chips), Gianluca Speranza (1,070,000), Alessandro Ferrari (983,000), Luigi Pignataro (839,000), Pawel Brzeski (671,000), Marcin Wydrowski (514,000), Ryad Arslane Belabdelouahab (355,000) and Alessandro Longobardi (307,000). As a reminder, the winner of this IPT Sanremo pocketed 135,000.
