Mini IPT Sanremo: The final table led by Mattia Boccassino
Italy is one of the first European countries which have legalized the market of online poker on its territory. This legalization of poker on internet allowed local operators to organize large-scale events on the Italian ground. Since last weekend, the poker room of the Casinò Municipale of Sanremo received the Mini IPT, a circuit which precedes the Italian Poker Tour. The latter will take place from July 25th to 29th of this year, with a Main Event accessible for an entry fee of 2,200. The Mini IPT Sanremo gathered 767 players for its Main Event at 200 of buy-in. After five days of hard competition, there were only nine players left for the final table. Mattia Boccassino will start the final table as chipleader, with a stack of nearly 3 million chips.
Just behind Boccassino and his 2,700,000 chips, we find Nicola Cappellesso (2,370,000), Luca Orlandi (2,318,000), Alessandro Monticciolo (2,038,000), Salvatore Morabito (1,482,000), Leonardo Piras (1,300,000), Maria Antonia Giunta (1,144,000), Alessandro Zollino (1,071,000) and Biagio Morciano (919,000). The Day 3 begun with the 52 survivors from the previous day. After a game of 70 minutes, the bubble burst, and only 48 players finished in the money, with a minimum gain of 670. Gianluca Mazzariello was the first player who fell, even he managed to play poker well up to now, and was followed a few hands later by other players such as Kristian El Dosoky, Stefano Mura, Alioscia Oliva, Cyprien Berger, Vasile Craciun or the chipleader of the Day 1C, Gianluca Fiore. Matteo Rivoira was the bubble boy of the final table, as he failed in the 10th place.
