Eureka Poker Tour Bulgaria: Denys Chufarin, chipleader of the Day 1
The third step of the Eureka Poker Tour started with the participation of 185 players, at the Day 1A of the Main Event. A large number of players coming from all regions of Europe came to take part in this Eureka Poker Tour Bulgaria, which takes place in Varna. The organizers expected to beat the attendance of the previous edition, with its 308 players. It was done when 222 players registered for the Day 1B, or 407 players in all. After nine hours of game, 83 players qualified for the next round, at the end of this Day 1A. George Vranas was the leader with a stack of 120,100 chips, followed by Richard Larsen and Jaroslaw Sikora, who where the qualified players having more than 100,000 chips.
The Day 1B had begun with 222 players which, after nine hours of game, ended with the remarkable performance of Denys Chufarin. The Ukrainian finished the day with 152,800 chips, a stack which places him as chipleader at the beginning of the Day 2. Other players such as the holder of the WSOP bracelet, Ivo Donev, Ievgen Lozinskyi, Adam Sipos or Gabriel Dragomir have also more than 100,000 chips, at the end of the day. Holder of a WSOP 2013 bracelet, Simeon Naydenov is also among the survivors of the day. The main event of the Eureka Poker Tour Bulgaria guarantees a minimum gain of 2,020 for the 48 paid places, grouping players who have managed to play poker well. The winner will pocket 93,000, against 62,500 for the runner-up.
