BPT Enghien: Victory of Jacques Guenni
Penultimate step of the season 2012-2013, the Barrière Poker Tour Enghien took place during last weekend, at Casino Barrière of Enghien-les-Bains. 198 players were present for the Main Event at 1,500, which ended with the victory of Jacques Guenni. A large number of players well known through France took part in the event, following the example of Philippe Ktorza, Lucien Cohen, Nicolas Dervaux, Brian Benhamou, Pierre Canali, Ronan Monfort, Patrick Schuhl, Yann Migeon, Jean Montury or Steven Moreau. Sunday, only 10 players survived until the final table. The list of the last qualified was known after the elimination of Lucien Cohen, in the 11th place. Bubble boy of the final table, the winner of the EPT Deauville was all the same rewarded with 8,000.
The final table of this poker tournament lasted five hours. Germain Gillard was the first who left the table, followed a few hands after by Quentin Lecomte and Alexandre Gama. The eliminations continued with those of Alain Goldberg, Ronan Monfort, Sharon Cintamani and Bernard Elfvering. These players pocketed gains between 14,000 and 19,500. The elimination of Sylvain Esposito (22,000) at the last step of the podium allowed Jacques Guenni to find in heads-up, one of the finalists of the Main Event of the WSOPE 2012, Stéphane Girault. Jacques Guenni stood out in front of his opponent and pocketed 32,000, against 26,000 for the runner-up. Note that the gains of the 10 finalists of this BPT Enghien included a package, amounted at 12,000, for the WSOP-Europe's Main Event.
