Bellagio Cup IX: David Peters wins the Main Event
The Bellagio Cup IX gathered a large number of players who have recently participated in the World Series of Poker 2013. 137 players registered for the Main Event and that generated a prizepool of $ 1,328,900. But after three days of competition in the poker room of Bellagio Hotel Casino of Las Vegas, nine players survived for the final table. The nine seats of the final table were occupied by Jason Koon, Daniel Stern, Alexander Condon, Alexander Uskov, Michael Esposito, Connor Drinan, Tobias Reinkemeier, Matt Parry and David Peters. Last year, the Main Event of the Bellagio Cup gathered 126 participants, for a total prizepool of $1,328,900. The event was won by Jess Yawitz who was rewarded with $291,505.
This year, the final table of the Main Event guaranteed a minimum gain of $26,578, sum which went to Alexander Uskov, eliminated at the 9th place. Tobias Reinkemeier (8th) was the next ousted, followed a few hands after by Alexander Condon. The two players were rewarded with $38,538 and $51,827. The elimination of Matt Parry (3rd, $159,468) enabled Jason Koon and David Peters to meet in heads-up. His elimination was followed by those of Michael Esposito (4th, $109,634), Daniel Stern (5th, $84,385) and Connor Drinan (6th, $65,000). After some exchanges of hands, David Peters stood out against his opponent and pocketed $355,093. Runner-up of this poker event, Jason Koon left the final table with a gain of $316,000.
