Daniel Alaei and Loni Harwood: Two other bracelet winners in this WSOP 2013
The Main Event of the World Series of Poker is the most coveted poker event on the live circuit. But before the main event, which is the last tournament of the WSOP, two new bracelets were distributed in the Event # 61 - $ 10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship and the Event # 60 - 1,500 No $-Limit Hold'em . The American Daniel Alaei won the PLO which registered the entry of 386 players during its first day. Daniel Alaei won his fourth bracelet and $ 852,692 after a heads-up with Jared Bleznick who left the final table with $ 526,625. I the side of French players, Philippe Clerc was the best placed with a 17th place which still allowed him to pocket $ 32,691. Having also finished in the ITM, Mesbah Guerfi and Nicolas Faure cashed $ 26,124 each for their 23rd and 26th place.
The Event # 60 of the 44th edition of the WSOP was for its part marked by the coronation of Loni Harwood, the second woman to win a bracelet out of the Ladies Event. After Dana Castaneda who won the Event # 54, Loni Harwood inscribed her name in the annals of the WSOP. The young woman of 23 years beat in this poker tournament a field of 2,541 players before winning her first bracelet and an award of $ 609,017. Loni Harwood won her first grand slam title after a sixth place during the $ 1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Eight-or-Better and a 4th place in the $ 1,500 No-Limit Hold'em. These payouts have allowed her to gain a total of $ 875,000 during these WSOP 2013.
