WSOP: Julie Monsacré and Anthony Gregg marked the weekend
One more time, French women players signed a very good performance at the World Series of Poker (WSOP). In fact, Julie Monsacré has just won the 3rd place of the $ 10,000 Ladies Championship tournament. Up to now, it is the best French performance in this 2013s edition of the WSOP. The young woman player, who nearly reiterated the achievement of Vanessa Hellebuyck three years before, has thus pocketed the biggest gain of her career, an amount of $ 67,331. Note that this event gathered 954 women players in the Amazons poker room of Rio casino. Other French women took part, among whom Claire Renault who finished 12th, Lara Boutros 18th and Hermance Blum 102nd. On the other side, the victory came back to Kristen Bicknell who received a prize of $ 173,922. The Australian Leanne Haas, as for her, occupied the second place.
The victory of the American Anthony Gregg at the One Drop High Roller tournament marked also the end of the week. While the public had eyes fixed on the winner of the Big One Drop 2012, Antonio Esfandiari, the latter was not able to reach the podium. He bowed at the fourth position. It is necessary to say that Gregg realized a wonderful achievement during this poker tournament, because numerous elites of poker, following the example of his runner-up Nick Klodnicki, Nick Shulman, Mike Sexton, Phil Laak and Dan Shak were noticed during the final phase. He has just embellished his prize list with a WSOP title. Note that he is already holding the title of champion of the World Poker Tour Parx Poker Open 2012 and a silver medal, at the High Roller tournament of the European Poker Tour Monte-Carlo 2013. For his performance during this event # 47 of the WSOP 2013, the American pocketed $ 4,830,619.
