WSOP 2013: Nine bracelets for Canada

Canadian players have been particularly successful during this edition 2013 of the World Series Of Poker (WSOP). Two of them have just won a golden bracelet. It is about Justin Oliver, champion of the Event # 38: $ 2,500 No-Limit Hold'em and Daniel Idema, the winner of the Event #39: Seven-Card Stud High-Low Eight-or-Better. From now on, Canadians took nine victories in bracelet-tournaments, a real record. Note that up to now, Canada had only 34 bracelets won during the 43 years of existence of the WSOP.



The bracelet race does not stop yet in the poker room of Rio casino of Las Vegas. Currently, some familiar names in poker tournament such as Matt Berkley, Allen Cunningham, Griffin benger, Kara Scott and Garry Gates are playing the title of the Event # 40: a $ 1,500 No-Limit Hold'em. The event touches its third day of competition and the place of chipleader is taken up by Nicholas Fiero. On the contrary, Yevgenjy Timoshenko, Sorel Mizzi and Trevor Pope are in the running to win the trophy of the Event # 41, the $ 5,000 Pot Limit Omaha. The Event # 42, a $ 1,000 No-Limit Hold'em also started and several professionals such as Vanessa Selbst, Antonio Esfandiari and John Eames are among the competitors still in the running for the Day 2. They are led by Matt Matros. To finish, the first day of the Event #43, the $ 10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball which gathered 87 participants has also just closed.
