WSOP 2013: David Chiu conquered his 5th trophy

52-year-old, David Chiu has just conquered his 5th bracelet World Series Of Poker (WSOP) by winning the victory during the Event #23, a $ 2,500 Seven Card Stud. This poker tournament gathered a field of 246 participants which consist in majority, of professionals. It is necessary to say that Chiu has known some difficulties, before being able to climb the first step of the podium. He was on a highly raised final table, completed by five WSOP champions including Freddie Ellis, Michael Mizrachi, Frank Kassela, Gary Benson and Adam Friedman. They have respectively finished 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th. But he had also to face Scott Seiver, more persevering than never. This holder of golden bracelet stood up to him during the three days of competition and tried to bar his way during the final head's up. But for his great happiness, David Chiu has managed to emerge victorious and has pocketed the first prize of $ 145,520. His runner-up left with the sum of $ 89,980.

Currently, David Chiu joins the rank of the other notables of poker, holders of 5 WSOP titles including Chris Fergusson, Scotty Nguyen, Allen Cunnunghaml, Daniel Negreanu, John Juanda and Stu Ungar. He particularly dedicated his victory to Jerry Buss. Concerning the result of the Event #22, the title was awarded to Josh Pollock who has ousted Noah Schwartz during the final duel. Let us note that these two players have contributed to the elimination of the majority of the other finalists of this tournament.
