Marrakech Poker Open: This weekend in the casino of Marrakech
After the 28th edition in March, the Marrakech Poker Open (MPO) comes back for a new edition, since last Wednesday in the Casino of Marrakech, in Morocco. The event began with satellite tournaments and the deepstack tournament, but the real things started in the afternoon of this Friday with the Main Event. This main event is accessible for a buy-in of DHS 10,000 or 910 and each participant started with 50,000 chips, on levels of 45 minutes. In last March, the DHS 15,000 Main Event of the MPO gathered 288 players, generating a prizepool of more than DHS 3.75 million. Olivier Estripeau pocketed DHS 700,940 ( 63,722), after having won this poker tournament face to another French player, Sébastien Compte.
Apart from the Main Event, this 29th edition of the Marrakech Poker Open has also inside its planning numerous Side Events. During the previous session of the MPO, the High Roller tournament has seen the participation of 57 players who paid DHS 20,000 (1800). The Moroccan Rachid Chaouki won the event, before the French Ricardo Manquant.
