Deep Stack Extravaganza: Elie Payan stands out again in PLO tournament
As each year, the Venetian casino of Las Vegas organizes its appointment at the same time as the World Series of Poker (WSOP). A great series of tournaments is organized during this time of the Deep Stack Extravaganza, which gains recognition as a preparatory event for players who will take part in the WSOP. The Deep Stack Extravaganza III started on May 23 and its program includes many events apart from the classic Main Event of $ 5,000. This poker tournament organized four times a year is very popular and attracts numerous players from worldwide, who are discovering the famous Strip of Las Vegas and its poker room. French representatives were also present, by the example of Elie Payan who has just won the Pot Limit Omaha tournament.
Last year, the $ 600 PLO of the Deep Stack Extravaganza gathered 332 players and after a headÂ’s up with the British Daniel Furnival, Elie Payan won the title and $ 41,532. The French won for the second successive time this event of $ 400 of the Deep Stack Extravaganza, in a field of 39 new incomers. For this wonderful victory, Elie Payan pocketed $ 4,641. Certainly, the gain is little but this victory should give him self-confidence, some days before the World Series of Poker 2013. Note that the Deep Stack Extravaganza 2013 IV will be held from September 16th to 29th 2013.
