WPT National Series Annecy: Hicham Hilmi as chipleader of the Day 1A
After the stage in Cannes which ended in the victory of Guillaume Darcourt, the national circuit of the World Poker Tour comes back for the last time of the season in France, with a stop in Annecy. In fact, the WPT National Series in Annecy ends the season 11. Since Wednesday, the Casino Impérial of Annecy hosted numerous visitors for the qualifying tournament at the Main Event. Some of these visitors succeed in qualifying for this event with 1,650 buy-in, during the satellites tournaments with entry fee of 200 and 300. The Day 1A of the Main Event welcomed 94 players but after eight levels of one hour, 48 players survived for the Day 2, planned on Saturday. Many famous players took the start of this first departure day, but most of them were eliminated throughout the day. That was the case of Roger Hairabedian, Nicolas Dervaux, Slimane Mamèche, Thibaud Guenegou, Nasrodin Pirmamod or Emile Petit.
At the end of the day of Wednesday, Hicham Hilmi was at the lead of this poker tournament with a stack of 147,000 chips. He is nearly followed by Miro Allilovic and Ricardo Graells. We also find among the survivors of the day: Rachid Bruchot, Jeremy Nock, Laurence Stein, Yavor Tulev, Antoine Rahal, Carole Buisson, Hassan Fares, Christian Delacombaz, Erwann Pecheux or Jean-Philippe Rohr. The Day 1B will begin this Friday in the afternoon, with noteworthy players such as Alain Roy, Brian Benhamou, Rébecca Gérin, Pierre De Almeida, Anthony Cierco, Michel Leibgorin and Youcef Benzerfa.
