Viktor Blom: The «unlucky» of the week
The High Stakes champion of online poker rooms, Viktor "Isildur1" Blom, knew one of his most disagreeable weeks. The Swede took part in the Main Event of the EPT Grand Final in Monte-Carlo during the Day 1B, but he was among the unlucky of the day with Gus Hansen, Patrik Antonius, David Sands, Vanessa Selbst, Liv Boeree, ElkY, Fabrice Soulier, Guillaume Darcourt or Ludovic Lacay. The same day, Tuesday May 7, Viktor Blom under his nickname « Isildur1 » settled for Full Tilt Poker tables by gathering more than $ 1 million in PLO, 2-7 Triple Draw and No-Limit Hold'em with Ben "Bttech86" Tollerene, Phil "Polarizing" Ivey, "Kagome Kagome", "SanIker" and Alex "Alexonmoon" Luneau.
But the misfortune of the EPT Monte-Carlo came back the day after and made him lose more than $ 1.3 million. In fact, the Swede was plucked by the American Ben "Sauce1234" Sulsky at Pot Limit Omaha. In about more than 130 hands, « Isildur1 » lost $ 1,367,993 at online poker whereas Sulsky's losses in 2013 were reduced to $ 939,887 thanks to this head's up. In Monte-Carlo, the Main Event of the EPT Grand Final continues its course with the qualification of 105 players for the Day 3. Johnny Lodden is the chipleader at the start of this day, with a stack of 605,200 chips, followed by Calvin Anderson and Noah Schwartz for the Top 3. We find also Daniel Negreanu, Jason Mercier, Freddy Deeb, Steve O'Dwyer, Jake Cody, David Vamplew and Paul Volpe among the survivors of the day. Concerning French players, 10 of them are still in the race and Gérard Gardelli is well placed among them with 191,200 chips.
