APPT Cebu 2013: Milan Gurung, chipleader of the Day 1B
The Waterfront Hotel and Casino of Cebu, in Philippines hosted during the day of Thursday, the Day 1 of the Main Event of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour. 77 players took the start of the second first day of the Main Event to try to join the 41 survivors of the Day 1A. But at the end of the day, there were no more than 36 players. Overall, the Main Event of the APPT Cebu 2013 gathered 158 players, a less important field compared with those of last year with its 246 participants, but the challenge was enormous because the tournament, especially in the Day 1B, has been intended by many well-known players like the runner-up of the last Macau Poker Cup Red Dragon Main Event Gie Reyes, Jesse McKenzie, Raj Ramakrishnan, Celina Lin, Sixiao "Juicy" Li or Raymond Wu.
At the end of the day, Milan Gurung is at the head of the field with 99,900 chips. He is followed by Choi Young Su and Ming Sheng with a respective stack of 88,700 and 80,300 chips. Bawod Hyunshik Yun, Chane Kampanatsanyakakorn, Aditya Agarwal, Aditya Agarwal, Cheng Liu, Bahador Azad, Jae Kyung Sim, Jim Collopy, Daniel Laidlaw and Kevin Zhang are also among the 36 survivors of the day. The Day 2 of the APPT Cebu Main Event begins in the afternoon of Friday, May 3 with Ivan Zalac as chipleader, Milan Gurung is at the 4th place of the general chipcount, just after Khac Tran and Sotirios Koutopas.
